National Cybersecurity Agency is being established in Azerbaijan

The "National Cybersecurity Agency" public legal entity is being established under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport on the basis of the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. President Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree in this regard. The Decree approved the Charter of the National Cybersecurity Agency.

The Agency's statutory fund will be formed from the funds provided for in this year's state budget for the state body and unused by the date of full implementation of the obligations of that state body.

A Board of Directors consisting of 4 members - the chairman and his 3 deputies - will be established to exercise general management and control over the activities of the Agency.

The following are entrusted with the exercise of the powers of the founder of the Agency:

- To the President of Azerbaijan:

- Approval of the Agency's charter and determination of the amount of the statutory fund, making amendments to them;

- Establishment of the Agency's management bodies;

- Reorganization and liquidation of the Agency;

The Cabinet of Ministers shall ensure the transfer of the property on the balance sheet of the state body specified in Part 1 of this Decree to the balance sheet of the Agency within 1 month from the date of state registration of the Agency and shall prepare and submit proposals on improving the material and technical support of the Agency to the President of Azerbaijan.
