Dating app Tinder has been officially registered in Azerbaijan. The company has been registered with the State Tax Service.
This change will make payments more transparent for Tinder users. So far, when paying for subscriptions and other services to the platform, an additional 18 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) was calculated on top of the amount. After Tinder's registration in Azerbaijan, a fixed price will be applied for services and users will not be charged an additional 18 percent VAT.
It should be noted that in recent years, a number of international digital platforms have also started to register for tax in Azerbaijan and settle their settlements with local users in accordance with the country's legislation.
