During January-September 2024, 1 million 36 thousand 863 smartphones worth 289 million 239 thousand US dollars were imported to Azerbaijan.
According to the State Statistics Committee, compared to the corresponding period of last year, this indicator is 14.4% or 130 thousand 187 units more in terms of quantity, and 21% or 50.1 million US dollars more in terms of value. Thus, during the first 9 months of 2023, 906 thousand 676 smartphones worth 239 million 116 thousand dollars were imported to the country.
The average import price of one smartphone imported to the country during the reporting period was 474 manat. This indicator was 448 manat in the corresponding period of the previous year.
During this period, smartphones were imported to the country mainly from China (811,340 units), Vietnam (161,684 units), India (59,496 units) and the United States (3,150 units). This product was imported from China for 450 manats, from Vietnam for 586.5 manats, from India for 406 manats, and from the United States for 1,920 manats.
It should be noted that during the reporting period, 944 smartphones worth 176.5 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan. The average price of this product exported to Switzerland (18 units), the Czech Republic (354 units) and Hong Kong (571 units) was 317.8 manats.
