OpenAI has released new policy proposals for an economic model where artificial intelligence is rapidly developing. The company proposes the creation of a social welfare fund, faster expansion of electricity networks and strengthening social support mechanisms in the face of possible job losses and increased energy demand.
According to the document, if the decrease in wages or increase in unemployment due to artificial intelligence exceeds certain thresholds, incentives such as additional social benefits, vocational training and even a four-day work week could be introduced.
OpenAI says that the initiative aims to stimulate discussions about artificial intelligence systems that could outperform humans in many areas in the future.
