Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram platform, highly praised Georgia's favorable business environment and rapid economic development.
Durov said in a statement shared on his social media account that Georgia attracts attention not only with its hospitable people, ancient culture, national cuisine and nature, but also with its business-oriented state policy.
According to him, thanks to the business-friendly policies implemented in the country, Georgia is becoming one of the main business centers in the region.
Durov noted that the Georgian economy has grown twice in the past five years and is currently maintaining an annual growth rate of about 8%. He added that the country applies 0% corporate tax for international technology companies, and only 5% tax on dividends and salaries.
The Telegram founder emphasized that Georgia is undervalued both for travel and for doing business, and said that he would return to the country again in the near future.
"Georgia is a country that is seriously undervalued for visiting and doing business. I will return again very soon," Pavel Durov wrote in his post.
