CityCard, Azerbaijan's first national public transport payment solution, presented by Payriff, is preparing to enter the international market. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sentry Management Solutions of the United States. The agreement envisages the implementation of the CityCard platform in the US and European markets.
Within the framework of the new partnership, CityCard's experience in the field of digital payment infrastructure and public transport will be combined with Sentry Management Solutions' international experience in transport management technologies. It is reported that the cooperation will contribute to the creation of smarter, more efficient and modern transport solutions.
It should be noted that the CityCard Transport Payment Platform was created in 2025 with the order and support of AZCON Holding and was implemented in the city of Ganja as a pilot project. More than 24 million trips have been made through the platform so far. In the next stage, the system is planned to be implemented in Nakhchivan, Shamakhi and other cities.
According to experts, this cooperation is considered an important step in terms of the entry of Azerbaijani local technology products into the international market and the development of the country's transport-fintech ecosystem.
