Sem Altman and Jony Ive have discussed their new artificial intelligence device. Altman stated that people will be surprised by the device’s simplicity when they see it.
Altman explained that current phones, with constant notifications, distract and exhaust users. According to him, today’s technology creates anxiety rather than calm, making people feel like they are constantly “on the market.”
The new device, however, is designed to bring ease and comfort to users. Expected to be screenless and compact, it will understand your daily life, filter out unnecessary information, and avoid bothering you unnecessarily. The AI will assist only in essential moments.
Designer Jony Ive added that this simple and smart device is planned to be available for sale in approximately two years.
