Signal messenger is blocked in Russia

The Digital Surveillance Service of Russia (Roskomnadzor) has released information about the blocking of the Signal messenger in the country. A representative of the service said that the application does not comply with the legislative requirements required to prevent its use for the purposes of terrorism and extremism. However, it has not been announced which specific requirements were violated. On August 9, users in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other regions reported that they had problems with the Signal messenger.
