Slack CEO transferred to OpenAI

OpenAI has hired Slack CEO Denise Dresser to help it grow its revenue from enterprise customers. According to Bloomberg, Dresser will serve as chief revenue officer at OpenAI.

Dresser has led Slack since 2023, having previously worked at Salesforce for 12 years. His main task will be to expand the application of OpenAI’s products in the business sector and increase revenue streams from enterprise customers.

The media writes that OpenAI is trying to rapidly increase its revenue to justify its plans to invest about $ 1.4 trillion in artificial intelligence infrastructure. TechCrunch assesses Dresser’s role as “key” in the company’s steps towards profitability.

According to Wired, Slack will temporarily be led by the company’s product director Rob Siman.
