Uzbek startup offering AI-based Islamic banking raises $100 million in investment

IMAN Holding has announced that it has attracted an investment of 100 million US dollars to expand its artificial intelligence-based Islamic banking platform. The decision, announced in Dubai, is considered part of the company's strategy to enter international markets and is focused on the Gulf countries. The company's founder and CEO Rustam Rahmatov said that the main problem of traditional banking systems is not accessibility, but that they are not built to understand people's needs. According to him, the banking of the future will be built on systems that better understand the user.

Unlike conventional banking applications, the platform developed by IMAN analyzes users' financial behavior, makes decisions in real time and provides personalized financial recommendations. This system also integrates financial services in accordance with Sharia rules. One of the main innovations of the platform is an artificial intelligence assistant named "Aisha", which communicates with users through natural language, supports them in financial matters and facilitates the decision-making process.

Founded in 2020, IMAN Holding currently operates in Central Asia and already serves more than 1 million users. The company manages more than $100 million in assets and plans to increase this figure to $250 million by the end of 2026. To date, more than $10 million has been raised from various international investors.

The company says the new investment will be used to develop artificial intelligence infrastructure and products, as well as to establish a fully licensed Islamic bank and expand internationally. IMAN management believes that in the future, users will prefer smart, ethical and personalized financial solutions over traditional banking services.
