Strava will now track heart rate with AirPods Pro 3

Strava has released a new update for its iOS app. With the update, it will now be possible to monitor your heart rate in real time through the AirPods Pro 3.

According to 9to5Mac, the AirPods Pro 3 are the first headphone model in Apple's history to be equipped with built-in heart rate sensors. Users will be able to transmit heart rate data directly to the Strava app during workouts. The function works both with the headphones alone and with the Apple Watch.

If both devices are used at the same time, Strava automatically selects the most stable and accurate signal. The company says that this feature allows you to get more accurate results during running, cycling and strength training without the need for additional equipment. A minimum of iOS 18 is required for the new function to work.

In addition, Strava has also added a new section for physiotherapy exercises. Users will now be able to record recovery exercises and track their weekly and monthly progress.
