Telegram messenger is preparing to expand its text formatting capabilities. In the beta version for iOS, functions such as headings, tables, formulas, lists and a new quote format have been discovered.
According to the information, the innovations work on the basis of a markup language called Markdown. This system allows users to format text more conveniently using special symbols.
It has not yet been announced when the new functions will be available to all users. It is reported that they will also be tested on the Android version soon.
Currently, Telegram has basic formatting tools such as bold and italics, hyperlinks, quotes and code blocks.
