The implementation of the Decree No. 718 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated June 3, 2019 “On measures to establish the “Government Cloud” (G-cloud) and provide “cloud” services” continues.
The next state agency to transfer its information systems and resources to the “Government Cloud” within the framework of the implementation of the Decree was the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Agency fully deployed its information systems and resources to the Baku Data Center owned by “AznTelecom” LLC, one of the AZCON Holding companies. “AzInTelecom” LLC provided the Intellectual Property Agency with Virtual server – IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and Backup – BaaS (Backup-as-a-Service) “cloud” services. Thus, the institution ensured high availability of critical systems.
It should be noted that within the framework of the “Government Cloud” project, the IT systems of state agencies were fully or partially transferred to the Baku and Yevlakh Data Centers owned by “AzInTelecom” migration is carried out. As a result of migration, the current IT costs of organizations are reduced, and the productivity of information systems increases. Thus, improved information security, stable IT infrastructure, quality service provision and 24/7 monitoring service are achieved.
“AzInTelecom” LLC is the first organization in the South Caucasus region to obtain the “TIER III” certificate, which sets international standards for “cloud” services.
