A draft proposal on this matter was discussed at today’s meeting of the National Assembly’s Committee on Regional Issues.
The document emphasizes that a priority direction is to establish legislation regarding employees performing their work functions remotely. In this context, Article 3 of the Labor Code has been amended to introduce the concept of “Remote (distant) work” to ensure a legal basis for employees performing their work functions remotely.
It was noted that the Labor Code applies to employees who perform their work functions using the employer’s raw materials or production tools from their own homes, as well as under the remote (distant) work arrangement.
