With the financial support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the presentation ceremony of the "Girls STEM" project was organized with the organization of "Safavy" LLC. The main goal of the project is to educate our regional girls in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths), and teach them in their mother tongue about career opportunities in this field. The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has always supported the development of our girls in the field of STEM, and the "Girls in STEM" project is one of these programs.
In this project, we can achieve the correct information and guidance of the young generation about STEM, increase the activity of our girls in these 4 fields of science. With the implementation of the project, at the same time, we have taken it as our main criterion to eliminate the stereotypes of the young generation about STEM and to take advantage of the recommendations and knowledge of professionals.
For the first time, Safavy.org online education platform offers 5 different free courses in the field of STEM. These courses include video tutorials such as Robotics, Technology Fundamentals, STEM Engineering at a Glance, Science in STEM, and Math in STEM. Our school-aged and young girls will be able to benefit from free online courses by entering the Safavy.org platform. The lessons on the platform are always available. Our target audience is mainly our regional youth, and they will be able to learn accurate and useful information, knowledge and experiences that will help them build their careers in Azerbaijani language, from our local STEM teachers.
