The Association of Professional Users of Social Networks and Messengers (APPSIM) proposed to Roskomnadzor to block TikTok.
TikTok continues to operate in Russia, but only old videos from two years ago are available for Russians. According to APPSIM research, 70% of users of the short video service continue to use TikTok.

APPSIM asks to check TikTok's compliance with the law on personal data, so the services must localize the data of Russians in Russia. And if violations are detected, block the Chinese service in Russia.
The association believes that the blocking will allow Russian short video social networks (VK video, Yappy, Zen and others) to increase their audience by 30 million people, and bloggers will have more subscribers and the opportunity to earn more money.
