Culture and Technology Together
The third CulTech Hackathon, held in Baku on October 12-13, became one of the most important events dedicated to finding technological and innovative solutions to challenges in the field of culture. This unique hackathon brought participants together to design and develop innovative projects for the future of culture. During an intensive 48-hour work process, participants combined their creative ideas with the power of technology to propose innovative changes in cultural fields.
This year's hackathon provided ample learning opportunities for participants with the support of professional mentors from various sectors. The participants, with the help of mentors, gained not only theoretical knowledge, but also the chance to build prototypes of their own projects. At the same time, the event has become an important platform showing how to solve problems in the cultural field through technology.
The jury thoroughly evaluated the projects prepared by the participants and the best ideas were chosen as winners. The winners of this year's hackathon were the following teams:
1st place: altus Platform – a media platform that provides recognition and support for creative youth. This project aims to open creative potential in Azerbaijan and create conditions for young people to promote themselves in different fields.
2nd place: Kratos – an artificial intelligence-based application that allows tourists to get to know and explore Azerbaijan better. This program provides tourists with personalized experiences, allowing them to explore the country on a deeper level.
3rd place: Culteam – An innovative app that makes it easier to participate in cultural activities, making the community more connected to culture. Culteam is designed to increase the participation of people with an interest in the field of culture.
The purpose of the CulTech Hackathon was not only to select winners, but also to provide participants with valuable experience, establish new relationships, and create a new stage at the intersection of culture and technology. Hackathon has proven itself as an area where technology and culture complement each other, providing participants with a unique platform for both professional and personal development.
This event was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Center for the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries and the organization of SUP.VC. At the end of the event, it was emphasized once again that more such platforms are needed to bring technological innovations to the cultural field.
