Tim Cook's successor as Apple CEO has been determined

Tim Cook has been running Apple for 13 years. During this time, the company released several completely new products, including the Apple Watch and Vision Pro, and its capitalization increased several times. It is noted that Cook has held his position significantly longer than the average CEO on the Fortune 500 list. Moreover, at 63, he is older than many of his colleagues.
Sources inside Apple say that if Cook steps down, he will likely be replaced by Jeff Williams, Apple's chief operating officer, who was a leading candidate for the job several years ago. Under Jobs, Cook himself held the position of COO. However, Williams is already 61 years old and insiders believe his appointment is difficult because the board wants the new CEO to serve for at least a decade. The most likely successor to Tim Cook will be John Ternus, head of hardware development, who is not yet 50 years old.
It is noted that Ternus has many management qualities like Tim Cook, so he will be able to continue his policies as CEO. Apple sources say Ternus is well-liked at the company and respected by Tim Cook.
