Kalder, a platform offering global loyalty programs for brands, has raised $7 million in a funding round led by Javelin Venture Partners, with participation from 8VC, Human Capital, Gingerbread Capital, Emergence Capital, and Formus Capital.
Founded by Gökçe Güven, the startup had previously secured $3.5 million in seed funding in a round led by e2vc.
Kalder's partner rewards platform enables brands to integrate their own cashback programs directly into their apps or websites. This system allows customers to earn rewards automatically and instantly while shopping at partner stores. Brands, in turn, can reward loyalty program members for every purchase at participating stores, generate new revenue through commissions from each sale, and increase customer engagement and spending.
With each transaction, brands benefit from automated tracking and analytics. Kalder's platform manages everything for both customers and brands—from registration to purchase tracking and payments—strengthened by integrations with payment networks. The Kalder system provides brands with unique insights into customer spending habits, creates new customer acquisition channels with partners, and enhances loyalty.
Kalder’s founder and CEO, Gökçe Güven, said:
"For the first time, brands with loyal followers can generate revenue from existing loyalty programs, similar to the gold standard loyalty programs in the travel and finance sectors. Until now, most brands lacked the tools to monetize loyalty effectively. With Kalder, any brand can turn its loyalty program into a direct revenue stream. As customer acquisition costs rise, brands are seeking new ways to deepen relationships and retain high-value customers. We are excited to help them build this into their everyday strategies."
Brands currently using Kalder include Godiva, LVMH-backed retailer MILE, Heat.io, and the Swiss-Brazilian sports club BSC Young Boys.
Other notable investors include Harry Maguire of Manchester United, Shuo Wang, co-founder of Deel, Julius Genachowski, Chair of the Board at Sonos, former FCC Chairman, and member of the boards at Mattel and Mastercard.
Michael Sutherland, former CTO of Real Madrid, said:
"Kalder stands out with its innovative approach, evolving the digital loyalty ecosystem to deliver fan experiences aligned with club goals."
