Microsoft is preparing to introduce a free plan for Xbox Cloud Gaming with ads. According to The Verge, the new plan will initially be available to Xbox Insider program members.
According to insider Tom Warren, Microsoft will soon begin an open test of Xbox Cloud Gaming with ads. The company has reportedly been testing this feature internally for the past few months.
Microsoft recently updated the Xbox app and added new loading screens for cloud gaming. These screens clearly state “one hour of playtime per session with ads.”
The free version will allow users to stream some of their own games, as well as play paid games for free on weekends.
