Airbnb has launched a private car pickup service in 125 cities in partnership with transportation company Welcome Pickups.
The new feature allows users to pre-book transfers in cities such as Paris, Bali and Mexico City. The service was tested by thousands of users in a pilot phase in Europe and Asia, according to the company, and received an average rating of 4.96.
The move is part of Airbnb’s strategy to expand its travel services beyond just accommodation. The company has recently entered new areas such as experiences, food delivery and hotel bookings.
