Google is gradually rolling out a Gmail address change feature for users in the US. The new feature allows users to change their email address without having to recreate their account or lose any of their data.
Users can access this feature by going to “Personal info > Email > Google Account email” in their account settings. There, there is an option to “change email.”
According to the rules, users will only be able to change their email address once every 12 months. Also, the new address cannot be deleted during this period.
The company says that old emails will be kept and the previous address will remain active as an alternate login. The feature is currently being rolled out in a phased manner and may not be available to all users immediately.
