Azerbaijan’s mobile internet speed has dropped by one place

In July 2025, Azerbaijan moved up to 81st place among 153 countries in terms of fixed broadband internet speed. This represents a two-place improvement compared to the previous month. The average fixed broadband speed in the country reached 82.58 MB/s, marking a significant increase from the previous month.

According to the Speedtest Global Index July report, Singapore holds the top position for fixed broadband speed worldwide, while Syria ranks last. These results highlight the development of Azerbaijan’s internet infrastructure and indicate an improvement in the quality of digital services in the country.

Regarding mobile internet, Azerbaijan dropped one place in July, ranking 56th out of 104 countries, with an average speed of 74.76 MB/s. The fastest mobile internet belongs to the UAE, while Bolivia has the slowest.

Experts note that these changes in fixed and mobile internet speeds make internet usage easier for both citizens and businesses, reflecting the ongoing digital transformation in Azerbaijan.
