Azerbaijan was represented at the world's leading event "TechCrunch Disrupt".

Innovation and Digital Development Agency participated in TechCrunch Disrupt, an internationally prestigious technology event.

It should be noted that "TechCrunch Disrupt" is considered the world's largest startup event. The event brings together the best and brightest startups, investors, technology enthusiasts.

In the event held in San Francisco, USA, on September 19-21, Deputy Chairman of the Agency Inara Valiyeva, as well as other representatives, local startups and technology media participated and represented Azerbaijan on all platforms with a large delegation.

At the same time, event participants and guests from many countries of the world visited the "Azerbaijan" pavilion and got to know the country's innovation ecosystem. It should be noted that the "Azerbaijan" pavilion sponsored by "PASHA Holding" was among the most visited pavilions.

On the first day of the event, Inara Valiyeva, deputy chairman of IRIA, spoke at the panel session "Digital Silk Road: the road from Central Eurasia to Silicon Valley". In the session with speakers from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Inara Valiyeva drew attention to the work done by the Agency and the innovation landscape of Azerbaijan.

"Azerbaijan is among the rapidly developing countries in the field of innovation ecosystem. In this way, our main approach is to create a favorable environment for local and foreign ICT companies in Azerbaijan, invest in human capital, and support the ecosystem that drives startups forward in all directions. Also, our mission is to keep pace with the technological and innovative progress of Azerbaijan, but also to lead innovations in the region, thereby ensuring its continuous growth and competitiveness in the international arena," said Inara Valiyeva.

During the event, startups in the Azerbaijan delegation presented their projects to a wide audience. The ideas of startups such as "E-LEGAL", "CodeAny", "Recepta", "Voiceloft", "Senpex", "GrowthChannel", "PolygrafAI", "Neuroil" were met with interest by investors and other foreign ecosystem representatives, potential cooperation formats with some companies has been discussed.

Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held on September 21 with the joint organization of Azerbaijan Technological Diaspora and "Silkroad Innovation Hub". About 60 Azerbaijanis living in the USA and working in the field of ICT participated in the meeting. During the meeting, a panel session was held with the participation of Inara Valiyeva, IRIA's deputy chairman, Igor Ovcharenko, IRIA's head of innovation, and Mammad Karim, founder of "Caucasus Ventures". Here, the participants were informed about the work done by the Agency in the field of ICT and innovation, start-up, development of the investment environment. The efforts of "Silkroad Innovation Hub" to connect Turkish countries in the digital field and create a single center were highly appreciated and the importance of joint activities in these directions was emphasized.

It should be noted that the "Silkroad Innovation Hub" Center supports startups and entrepreneurs from Eurasia in finding ways to establish or expand their enterprises in Silicon Valley and the US market.
