Claude Mythos found a security hole in macOS

Experts from the cybersecurity group Calif have discovered a critical vulnerability in the macOS kernel using an artificial intelligence called Claude Mythos. It is reported that this vulnerability allows a regular user account to gain root access on new M5-chip MacBook devices.

According to experts, the attack method can also bypass Apple's new protection mechanism for memory security called MIE. It is noted that the company spent more than five years developing this technology.

It is reported that the vulnerability has not been used in real attacks at the moment. The research team has documented the problem and submitted it to Apple. However, experts warn that the problem must be fixed as soon as possible, since similar security mechanisms are also used in the iOS system.

It should be noted that Claude Mythos previously discovered a dangerous vulnerability in the OpenBSD operating system.
