President Ilham Aliyev signed a relevant Decree in this regard.
According to the Decree, the Ministry of Economy, together with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, must ensure the placement of the “National Spatial Data” information system in the “Government Cloud”.
The Ministry of Economy is entrusted with the management and implementation of operations of this information system. The Ministry will also perform the functions of the owner and operator of the system.
Within the framework of the Decree, the construction of telecommunications equipment and internal channels necessary for organizing the work of the system has been entrusted to the structural units of the Ministry of Economy. In addition, the telecommunications equipment required for the integration of the system with other state information resources will be provided by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security.
Also, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security have been instructed to carry out the tasks arising from the document “Rules for the Management and Archiving of State Information Resources and Systems”. The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to resolve other issues arising within the framework of this Decree.
