New functionality introduced on the “mygov” digital government platform

A new feature has been launched on the “mygov” digital government platform, allowing citizens to receive notifications whenever their personal data is queried by private entities.

With this update, users can now monitor which organizations access their information more quickly and transparently through both the “mygov” mobile app and the web platform. Whenever a data inquiry occurs, the system automatically sends a notification to the citizen. By clicking the alert, users are directed to the “Notifications” module and can access more detailed information through the “View History” option.
If a citizen does not wish their data to be queried by the company (or institution) indicated in the notification, they can disable that specific inquiry via the “Manage Permissions” module.

The main purpose of this new functionality is to enhance citizens’ control over their personal information. This feature ensures that users are notified in real time when their data is accessed and can manage the process more conveniently.

Data inquiries are grouped into seven categories depending on their content: personal information, employment, family, education, transportation, social protection and welfare, and communications. As a result, citizens can clearly see which institution accessed their data and for which category, enabling more effective tracking of their data circulation.

It should also be noted that the digital management of user consent for the use of personal data is among the existing features of the “mygov” platform. Through the “Manage Permissions” section, citizens can track data inquiries made by private companies, manage the consents they have provided, set their validity period, and suspend or reactivate them at any time.
