Notion announced at its “Make with Notion” event that it has launched its first artificial intelligence (AI) agent. According to the company, the agent can create new pages, update existing ones, and add new information. It can also be managed through other platforms such as Slack, email, or Google Drive at the user’s request.
This new agent is an enhanced version of Notion’s previous AI features. It leverages “agentic AI” capabilities to handle more complex and multi-step tasks. According to the company, the current version of the agent can analyze hundreds of pages and complete tasks that may take up to 20 minutes.
Users can create a dedicated “profile page” for the agent. On this page, they can set instructions about how the agent should reference sources, the style in which results are presented, and where updates to tasks should appear.
In demo videos, Notion showcased the agent preparing pages for customer feedback, creating a service to track restaurants, generating insights from meeting notes, and compiling research reports on similar companies.
