OneDome, founded by Bakbek Ismayil, receives $25 million in investment

UK-based real estate and fintech startup OneDome has raised a new $25 million investment to expand its presence in the home buying and selling market.

The Pre-Series C round brings the startup’s total investment to $40 million. The new investment includes a media-for-equity deal with Channel 4, which was announced late last year and valued at up to £7.5 million.

OneDome is a start-up that combines mortgage advice, legal documentation and transaction management into a single platform to simplify the home buying process. In 2023, OneDome acquired online mortgage broker Trussle. The acquisition of Trussle, which was previously backed by major investors including Goldman Sachs, significantly strengthens the startup’s mortgage distribution capabilities. OneDome is chaired by Sir Nigel Knowles, a renowned UK lawyer. The startup aims to be involved in 10 percent of the country’s home buying and selling transactions over the next five years.

The platform currently processes around $1.4 billion in mortgages per month. OneDome also works with over 500 mortgage brokers, making it one of the largest proptech platforms in the UK.

The startup has already announced that it is profitable and plans to triple its revenue by the end of 2026.

Founder’s perspective

OneDome founder and CEO Babek Ismayil said that buying a home is still one of the most stressful financial transactions for people:

“We created OneDome to simplify the process. Our goal is to take home buying and selling from a fragmented and complicated process to a simple and transparent experience. This investment will allow our startup to grow even faster.”
