On February 11, at a meeting dedicated to the "New Digital Architecture of Azerbaijan" chaired by President Ilham Aliyev, the issue of providing public services through a single platform was discussed.
In his speech, the head of state said that in recent years, separate platforms and applications have been developed by various ministries and other state agencies. However, emphasizing the need for this work to be carried out in a coordinated manner, the President noted that the existing platforms should be phased out and all public services should be concentrated in a single center.
President Ilham Aliyev said:
“In recent years, various platforms and applications have been developed by various state bodies - ministries and other state institutions. In order to conduct this work in a coordinated manner, I believe that this will no longer be necessary, and the created platforms and applications should be gradually abolished, for what period, you will now propose it when submitting proposals to me. State services should be implemented through “mygov” - that is, from a single center. Everyone should know this - both state bodies and citizens. This will also provide a great advantage for citizens. All services needed by a citizen should be provided from one address. Now, how long this will take, of course, you will tell me. At the same time, the advantages of the platforms that exist today, the experience gained, and the individuals and personnel who participated in the development of these platforms should also be involved in the common work. In other words, I appreciate the results achieved, but at the same time, today the time has come for this to be combined in a single center.”
The head of state emphasized that this would create a great advantage for citizens and instructed the relevant bodies to prepare and submit relevant proposals.
