"Hyundai Motor" held an extraordinary meeting of the board of directors and approved the sale of its plant in St. Petersburg. The company notes that it will continue to provide after-sales service and other customer support in Russia.
The Hyundai plant in Russia has been inactive since March 2022. Previously, "Hyundai Solaris" and "Creta", as well as "Kia Rio" and "Rio X" car models were assembled there.
In September 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that the plant of the car manufacturer will be acquired by a "Russian company". The contract will run for two years with an option to purchase.
