The "Digital Silk Road" project was presented at the 27th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization held in Baku. Chairman of the Board of Directors of AzerTelecom Fuad Allahverdiyev and General Director of Operations Sergey Nazarenko participated in the event.
Speaking at the event, AzerTelecom General Director of Operations Sergey Nazarenko informed the event participants about the strategic importance and main components of the "Digital Silk Road" project, which is one of the priority projects for our country and the region. He noted that the digital infrastructure to be built at the bottom of the Caspian Sea within the framework of the "Digital Silk Road" project, as well as between Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries, will form a new digital telecommunication corridor between Europe and Asia.

The "Digital Silk Road" project, which will connect Europe and Asia, will have a significant impact on the future of a large region with the contribution of multi-terabit data transmission and the acceleration of digitalization," said Sergey Nazarenko.
It should be noted that the Economic Cooperation Organization includes Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
