The founder of Payme, Sarvar Ruzmatov, and a group of European investors invested 6 million dollars in the startup ArzonApteka. FOM Group, the creator of the ArzonApteka service and provider of IT solutions for the pharmaceutical market, has held a new investment round.
The total volume of the round was 6 million dollars. Part of the investment was provided by Sarvar Ruzmatov, an IT entrepreneur and the founder of the Payme payment service. A group of European entrepreneurs who have created companies valued at more than $2 billion also participated in the round.
Funds raised will be directed to the development of FOM Group, improvement of ArzonApteka and other services in its ecosystem. The company plans to expand its activities in the regions of Uzbekistan.
"We are very happy to have won the trust of both our customers and international investors. This investment round will allow us to continue the active development and improvement of our ecosystem and will benefit the pharmaceutical sector," said Murat Makhkamov, founder of FOM Group.
In his turn, Sarvar Ruzmatov emphasized that he sees great potential in the further transformation of the pharmaceutical market. The entrepreneur called the company an example of how innovation can change an entire industry.
FOM Group held its first investment round in 2021 with the participation of the British venture fund Sturgeon Capital. Currently, the total amount of investments involved is more than 7 million dollars.
Established in 2017, the company has more than 130 employees. Dan Kamilov, co-founder of the group, said that more than 2.7 million people are currently using the ArzonApteka service.
In addition to ArzonApteka, the ecosystem includes an ERP system for pharmacies called F-Apteka, a pharmaceutical marketplace called F-Summary, as well as an analytical and marketing platform for drug manufacturers and distributors, DATFO.
