Video platform YouTube is set to surpass several major media companies in terms of revenue in 2025. According to research by analyst firm MoffettNathanson, the platform’s advertising revenue will reach $40.4 billion, surpassing the combined advertising revenue of Disney, NBC, Paramount and Warner Bros. ($37.8 billion) for the first time.
YouTube’s total revenue in 2025 is estimated at about $62 billion, which is more than the $60.9 billion revenue of Disney’s media division. Analysts call the platform “the new king of the media market” and estimate its value in the range of $500–560 billion.
According to experts, YouTube’s rapid growth is due to the platform’s position as the global video leader and investments in artificial intelligence. Many content creators are already using AI tools to reduce production costs and create more content. At the same time, the decline in traditional television audiences and advertisers' increased focus on YouTube are also increasing the platform's revenues.
