Wildberries Launches “WB Taxi” Service in Uzbekistan

Wildberries is expanding its operations by entering the Uzbek market and preparing to launch its own taxi service there. According to the company’s press office, the “WB Taxi” service will initially operate in a technical testing mode. At the first stage, regular citizens will not be able to use the service; the option to place orders will be available only to the company’s employees and partners. The main purpose of this cautious approach is to identify potential technical issues in the system and improve the service based on user feedback before moving to mass usage.

It is noted that similar tests have been carried out in Belarus, particularly in Minsk, since July 2025. There, users can register on the website and apply to participate in the test rides. The project in Uzbekistan has also already gained official status; “WB Taxi” was registered as a legal entity back in June, with the majority of shares owned directly by Wildberries.

Another indicator of the company’s serious approach to this new direction is its team selection. To lead the taxi division, Wildberries has invited Anatoly Smorgonsky, a specialist with extensive experience in the field who previously managed well-known Russian taxi services such as Gett and Bibi. For now, the company has not disclosed the exact launch date of the full-scale service or the terms that will be offered to future partners.
